360 Moab Adventures has acquired two new permits to add to our trail running tours. The video below was taken from one of the new trails we guide. The trail in the video starts just outside of Dead Horse State Park and meanders down singletrack, slickrock and occasionally two track linking us from hwy 313 to hwy 191 just outside of Moab. This fun trail is great for all levels of fitness because if you are new to trail running, its a gradual downhill run with short climbs when they arise. If you are an experience trail runner and you like speed this trail is perfect for a PR (personal record). There are a couple of mileage options with this trail: 14mi & 17mi. I love guiding the 17 mile because it has a challenging climb after all the downhill. This climb is steep in sections and can be technical route finding. If you are not familiar with slickrock trail running this can become confusing for the non-local trail runner. Once at the top of the climb the technical running starts with views of Arches National Park, La Sal Mountains, and the Moab Valley.

Our other permit has amazing views from up on top of 2,000ft cliffs. The singletrack hugs the rim that overlooks Dead Horse Point & Canyonlands National Park. This trail running tour is a must at sunset or sunrise, either choice will leave you awe struck. The trail is an easy run because there are no big climbs and the trail is not technical. Its a great trail to run to take in the views without worrying to much where to place you feet next. Next time you visit Moab, Utah and want to go trail running give us a call at 360 Moab Adventures for a guided adventure but wherever you choose to run “…you can’t get lost on adventure…” Nemi Talli (my son).
